FAQ’s
What is your return policy?
If the item arrives damaged, email me within 3 days, and ship back to me within 7 days from arrival. The item must be unaltered, unworn in the case of jewelry, and in as much of the original packaging as feasible.
What about shipping?
- Artwork: This is on a piece by piece basis. The larger works on paper typically ship rolled in a tube, the smaller ones on paper in a rigid mailer with backing board. Large canvas works are packed professionally by the shipping company we decide to ship with for the piece in question.
- Jewelry: I ship in padded bubble mailers at the minimum, and most jewelry comes gift packaged. I ship USPS, and the rates shown are straight from USPS, calculated based on the weight and size of your order.
- Printed goods: Those are also live rates based on what you order, and exactly what I’m charged. (No profit on shipping, cross my heart.)
- International: I try to ship everywhere possible, whenever possible. Sometimes, the shipping rates are mind-boggingly high, even by my standards. I had a choice between padding the product prices with shipping costs to lower the rate shown on the cart, or keep product prices true, and show actual shipping rates. I decided to do the latter; it’s more fair to everyone, and honest.
Do you take commissions?
Commissions inquiries are welcome.
Will you repeat an older design I’ve seen before?
Probably not. I’ve had too many people ask for this, and then when I did it, they disappeared. What is listed here is what is available.
Will you copy this design someone else has?
Never.
What do you mean by “Made to Order” jewelry?
Most of the jewelry you’ll see here is Made to Order. Simply, that means that you are ordering the design you see in the shop, and then I’ll make one of them for you, after you order.
This works because I spend a LOT of time making prototypes of designs, working out the kinks and snags, so that I can repeat them consistently whenever they are ordered. Yep, it means that I don’t release new designs nearly as often as some people might, but it also means that if you see a design you ABSOLUTELY love AND want to get for a friend, you can totally do that. Or, if you see a piece you love, you don’t usually have to worry if it will be here after your paycheck hits the bank. (Only for one of a kind items.) It does mean there’s some time between when you order and when your item ships; up to a month, depending on how busy we are. But you’ll always know that behind your order is hundreds of hours of perfecting a design, and just as much attention to detail as went into the prototype.
Working made to order allows me to make more people happy, and that’s good for everyone!
